Shark Guernica – Poster

This poster was designed to raise awareness about the threats facing Canadian Sharks and to show the different programs the Canadian World Wildlife Fund has developed to help protect them and their environment. Guernica is a famous painting by Pablo Picasso. He painted it to depict the tragedy and suffering of war. It has become an international symbol for peace. I took this painting and re-interpreted it with sharks. This piece illustrate the needless violence that sharks are being exposed to.

Endangered Canada—Trading Cards

There are currently 686 species of endangered animals in Canada. How many can you name? This deck of cards will introduce you to a handful of them, and will come as a revelation to those who think that only gorillas and rhinoceroses are at risk of disappearing from Earth.

I created this project because I am interested in the environment, scientific systems (zoology, cartography, botany, etc) and education.

Arbutus Migratory Bird Sanctuary—Annual Report

The annual report was designed with the concept of ‘building blocks of life’. A periodic table was designed that categorizes some of the different lifeforms that call the sanctuary home, this is a pullout poster. Throughout the report graphics of the ‘wetland elements’ are formed into biological equations to show the interconnection of all life. This shows the viewer that the wetlands are not just for the birds but for everyone. All other design elements were kept simple and organized adhering to AMBS’s branding guidelines.

This infographic was designed to show the different foods people need to eat to get all their vitamins from whole food sources. It also shows how the body uses different vitamins throughout the body. Any excuse to create anatomical and plant drawing.
